10 Tips: Make Your Nail Polish Last Longer

nailpolish_msbluesky.jpg It may sound old fashioned, but beautiful looking hands and nails make a glamorous statement about who you are and how you care for yourself.

It does take diligence and care, though, so I’m here to help with 10 ten easy tricks to keep your manicure looking great longer.

1. Keep nails short

Long nails are more prone to chipping and breaking than short, professional-length ones. Aim for nails no more than a quarter inch past your fingertips.

2. Groom cuticles

When polish is applied to overgrown cuticles, it peels off easily. Keep cuticles in check by applying a drop of oil to them and gently pushing them back with a wooden tool. NB: Don’t cut cuticles; it can cause them to grow back even thicker.

3. Clean nails

Apply polish to nails that have been cleaned with a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover. Any oil or…

Our Natural Gift And Talent

Sometimes the heart has to be stronger than the mind and vice versa. There are many temptations in life. Those miniature things that cause enormous pain after the high wears off. Us, as humans have many gifts and talents and one is common sense and another instinct. When a situation arises and rattles your soul and every inch of you feels it’s wrong, nine times out of ten it surely is. When you get that jolt of energy and your mind and body are like “go for it” do what it takes to get it done. Your spirit is trying to communicate what your body really needs to stay happy. Some of us ignore that inner voice that tells us what we really need. The world is so fast pace that we forget our gift to use what we were naturally born with. That is our luck, that is our guide, it is our way out of misery, it is our own piece of happiness. Our ability to use common sense and instict. Take time to listen to what your body and spirit really needs. All the mistakes we’ve made and learned from, all the ups and downs, all the joys and misfortunes, your mind, body, and soul have connected with those things and pushes you to see clearly, to evaluate, to learn, to act, to seek, to do what’s best for you!! Bring back the strength of your inner voice and see the changes. Your feelings are valid and so are your thoughts. There’s that light in all of us and it’s natural…..it’s human. Until next time……..

Chasing Anger

The anger rages inside me

I feel it boiling up

no matter what other’s tell me

enough is never enough

I see the glares and the side way stares

I almost feel guilty

but when you struggle for so long

sometimes your heart comes up empty

courageous is the title I’m given

whether it rains or shines

I fake a smile and laugh awhile

all the while hurting

I create my own space and for heaven’s sake

let that be my bubble to think

let this moment be mine

so I can unwind

and release this anger peacefully

never again I say and every night I pray

Don’t let my anger get me

Even though I struggle maybe more than a couple

I take delight in my strength

Once was a weakness

Give A Compliment

Men and women need compliments to boost their confidence and increase their sense of self-worth. Of course you don’t think your partner looks fat in that dress, but you wish she wouldn’t ask you that question every time you’re about to go out. The best way to reassure her and dissuade her from these persistent anxieties is simply to give her compliments throughout the week without being prompted.

Tell her she looks beautiful before she leaves for work in the morning, or compliment a new hairstyle or outfit. Be sincere. False compliments are easy to spot. So find something you genuinely admire about your partner’s appearance and tell her—if it’s the way her boobs look in that top, go ahead and say so. It’s a romantic gesture that will give her a boost for the rest of the day. Obviously women are not the only ones who enjoy this form of flattery so pay him compliments, too. Whether it’s the way he looks in his new jeans or his skill cooking steaks, he’ll like to know that you’ve noticed. Until next time…..
