The Way I See It

Even though I don’t always speak
I write the words spoken from my heart
I follow my faintest dreams and always finish what I start
Procrastination is foreign to me it never held any weight
I’m the first to arrive to do my work and the one who’s still working after 8
I give my all those closest to me will tell
I walk my truth in a heavenly sense even though I’m walking in the mist of hell
To go back..never, to that I say never again
For I have seen my misfortunes and have become too determined
To settle for less or settle for the most great
That is a line I must define
So do not judge me based on my shell
My heart speaks a thousand words in a day sorry if you can’t tell
I may not speak but I do write words from my heart
I keep my word and always finish what I start
Blessed be my name even in my moments of shame
Nothing I have done I regret
I live my life for the better in me
I have not become perfect….yet!

Thinking of You Again

I never knew you
But your smile was among the familiar
It spoke words to my soul
And I don’t even know what language you speak
I would never let you see me stare at you
For I’m afraid to send the wrong message
If you ever came close to parting your lips to me, my heart would melt
And run streams of silver and gold at your feet
You would feel my warmth and how rich I really am
And know I’m not easy

Thoughts 04/02/2014

When the sun meets the sky I feel like that’s the greatest moment. The most pure thoughts cross my mind. The memories of yesterday find it’s place and I feel enthusiastic about today. The present.—-Written by Kimberly Reynolds

10 Tips: Make Your Nail Polish Last Longer

nailpolish_msbluesky.jpg It may sound old fashioned, but beautiful looking hands and nails make a glamorous statement about who you are and how you care for yourself.

It does take diligence and care, though, so I’m here to help with 10 ten easy tricks to keep your manicure looking great longer.

1. Keep nails short

Long nails are more prone to chipping and breaking than short, professional-length ones. Aim for nails no more than a quarter inch past your fingertips.

2. Groom cuticles

When polish is applied to overgrown cuticles, it peels off easily. Keep cuticles in check by applying a drop of oil to them and gently pushing them back with a wooden tool. NB: Don’t cut cuticles; it can cause them to grow back even thicker.

3. Clean nails

Apply polish to nails that have been cleaned with a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover. Any oil or…

Our Natural Gift And Talent

Sometimes the heart has to be stronger than the mind and vice versa. There are many temptations in life. Those miniature things that cause enormous pain after the high wears off. Us, as humans have many gifts and talents and one is common sense and another instinct. When a situation arises and rattles your soul and every inch of you feels it’s wrong, nine times out of ten it surely is. When you get that jolt of energy and your mind and body are like “go for it” do what it takes to get it done. Your spirit is trying to communicate what your body really needs to stay happy. Some of us ignore that inner voice that tells us what we really need. The world is so fast pace that we forget our gift to use what we were naturally born with. That is our luck, that is our guide, it is our way out of misery, it is our own piece of happiness. Our ability to use common sense and instict. Take time to listen to what your body and spirit really needs. All the mistakes we’ve made and learned from, all the ups and downs, all the joys and misfortunes, your mind, body, and soul have connected with those things and pushes you to see clearly, to evaluate, to learn, to act, to seek, to do what’s best for you!! Bring back the strength of your inner voice and see the changes. Your feelings are valid and so are your thoughts. There’s that light in all of us and it’s natural…..it’s human. Until next time……..

Chasing Anger

The anger rages inside me

I feel it boiling up

no matter what other’s tell me

enough is never enough

I see the glares and the side way stares

I almost feel guilty

but when you struggle for so long

sometimes your heart comes up empty

courageous is the title I’m given

whether it rains or shines

I fake a smile and laugh awhile

all the while hurting

I create my own space and for heaven’s sake

let that be my bubble to think

let this moment be mine

so I can unwind

and release this anger peacefully

never again I say and every night I pray

Don’t let my anger get me

Even though I struggle maybe more than a couple

I take delight in my strength

Once was a weakness

Give A Compliment

Men and women need compliments to boost their confidence and increase their sense of self-worth. Of course you don’t think your partner looks fat in that dress, but you wish she wouldn’t ask you that question every time you’re about to go out. The best way to reassure her and dissuade her from these persistent anxieties is simply to give her compliments throughout the week without being prompted.

Tell her she looks beautiful before she leaves for work in the morning, or compliment a new hairstyle or outfit. Be sincere. False compliments are easy to spot. So find something you genuinely admire about your partner’s appearance and tell her—if it’s the way her boobs look in that top, go ahead and say so. It’s a romantic gesture that will give her a boost for the rest of the day. Obviously women are not the only ones who enjoy this form of flattery so pay him compliments, too. Whether it’s the way he looks in his new jeans or his skill cooking steaks, he’ll like to know that you’ve noticed. Until next time…..

Stress Relievers

Sex can be a very effective stress reliever. Orgasm itself has many benefits. The sedative and relaxing effects of oxytocin and other endorphins released during orgasm may explain why people find it easy to fall asleep after intercourse. But sex doesn’t have to lead to orgasm in order to release stress: simply being intimate with your partner is sometimes all it takes to soothe and relax you.

A chaotic home that’s crowded with possessions could be adding to your stress. Introduce calm by de-cluttering, especially in the bedroom. Your bedroom should be a peaceful haven for sleep, sex, and intimacy not a storeroom for piles of clothes, books, or old sports memorabilia. Clear out unnecessary clutter, move your laptop or television to another room, and bring in a few luxurious accents, such as scented candles, plush pillows, soft sheets, and dimmers.

Make time for exercise. Physical activity can increase the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins.

Take your allotted vacation time. Make sure that you take all the accumulated days you are owed. Until next time……..

Remarkable Oils For The Hair

Egg whites help your hair by giving it a punch of protein. There are many variations of this at-home treatment but here’s a good general recipe to follow:

Step 1

Use a whisk or a mixer to beat egg whites until they are white and foamy, about two minutes.

Step 2

Fold in plain yogurt (using plain real yogurt with no flavoring or extras added is better), one spoonful at a time, mixing gently until the ingredients are completely incorporated and form a thick, creamy paste. (Mayo can work as a substitute or combined)

In this step you can add any essential oils (jojoba, moroccan, palm, castor, sweet almond all work well)you like or other hair-friendly ingredients.

Cucumber: Cucumber contains ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) and caffeic acid, fiber, along with minerals like silica, potassium and magnesium. Silica is renowned to be good for the hair.

Olive Oil: great for conditioning and shine. Honey can also be combined with Olive Oil on hair to make the results that much more effective.

Avocado : Avocado contains mono-saturated fats, which not only if ingested helps to burn trans-fats it can help give your hair strength and sheen

Pure Coconut Oil: A really good one! Coconut oil contains many good ingredients for your hair:
– One of the most responsible reasons behind hair fall and hair loss is microbial action on the scalp and hair roots. So, to protect hair against them, what we need is an antimicrobial agent. Lauric Acid present in Coconut Oil is one of them. It is basically a triglyceride which yields a monoglyceride called Monolaurin when acted upon by a species of bacteria which breaks the glycerol bonds. This monolaurin has excellent antimicrobial properties.

– Capric Acid is yet another triglyceride present in Coconut oil, which, like Lauric Acid, yields another monoglyceride called Monocaprin due to bacterial action, having antimicrobial properties similar to that of monolaurin.

-Vitamin-E. Almost every aptly educated person knows the importance of vitamin-E for skin and hair. It keeps scalp and skin healthy and hair rejuvenated.

-Coconut Oil has high moisture retaining capacity, since it is not broken down easily nor evaporated, being very stable. It does not let moisture escape thus keeping hair moistened and soft. This prevents breakage of hair. Coconut Oil is a far better conditioner for hair than any synthetic one available in the market.
-he various fatty acids present in Coconut Oil serve as very good anti dandruff agents and are way better than any anti dandruff shampoo. A regular application can help you get rid of dandruffs for ever.

Step 3

Use your fingers to scoop up the mixture and apply it to your hair. Massage your scalp, taking care to thoroughly coat all your hair with the mask and cover in plastic wrap/bag. Let the mixture sit on your hair for 15 minutes.

You Look Hot!!!!

As a long-term couple you know each other inside and out and have seen each other looking at your best and your worst. But although it seem unnecessary, in fact you should never give up courting your mate. You should never reach a point where you think ” I don’t need to attract her anymore”. Love is blind, true, but love also thrives on beauty, sexuality, and physical attraction.

Putting time and effort into your appearance is worthwhile and necessary for a sizzling, sexy relationship. When you go out on a date, think about what you are going to wear. Spend time in the mirror. Have your hair or nails done. Wear a bra that boosts your cleavage. Put on a shirt you know she likes and spray on some cologne. Make sure that your body simply cries out for a kiss goodnight…..and maybe much more! Your appearance should signal that the night is special.

No matter how long you have been together, dating should still be an essential part of your relationship. It helps you to stay bonded with your spouse, both emotionally and physically, and it keeps your relationship vital, fun, and intimate. So make the commitment to go steady and no matter what just enjoy yourselves!!!! Until next time……….
