What you will need : 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream, 1/2 cup strawberries, 5 toasted walnut halves.

  • decrease the portion of ice cream since it is high in sugar .
  • added walnuts and strawberries to fill up the bowl and provide fiber, nutrients, and healthy fats.
  • glycemic load is a 12.

Put your ingredients in a bowl and enjoy!

Serves 4  Serving Size 1/2 Banana

What you will need : 2 medium bananas, 20 miniature marshmallows, 2 tbsp. semisweet chocolate chips

Slit each banana lengthwise through the peel, making sure not to cut all the way through to the other side. Stuff the bananas with marshmallows and chocolate chips. Wrap each banana in aluminum foil and cook in a 300 degree Fahrenheit oven for 5 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Eat with a spoon.

Lemon Pancakes w/Strawberry topping

For pancakes you will need:

1 cup egg substitute,  3/4 cup low fat ricotta cheese,  1/4 tsp cream tartar,  1/3 cup all purpose flour,  3tbsp light tub margarine,  2 tbsp splenda,  1 tbsp grated lemon rind,  1/8 tsp salt

For topping you will need : Fresh sliced strawberries, sugar free strawberry syrup

Beat the pancake ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto a hot, lightly greased griddle. Cook until the tops are covered with bubbles and the edges look cooked, then turn and cook the other side. Serve with fresh strawberries and warm sugar free strawberry syrup on top.
